It appears that illiteracy is contagious! No offense, dreg, but it was very difficult getting through/reading your post.
Regarding Mr.E's post, it happens to be a fact that many trucking carriers are taking advantage of their drivers, and will at the first opportunity.
Its great that "thetruckersreport" allows the chance to warn other prospective drivers of these sometimes illegal, unethical, and even unconstitutional practices that trucking carriers use to gain advantage and make money from.
And, it was difficult to get through Mr.E's post as well.

 

I just hauled a brokered load for link america
I was told I would get a com check from them for payment after I faxed in the signed BOL...625.00
so far nothing but excuses and the run around.
Today I was placed on hold for 25 minutes before I hung up


I am not thru with them

 

holy crap!. stay on them. that crazy.

 

My best advice for you is to contact the Attorney General's office in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma or Tulsa, Oklahoma.

after 2 days of bugging the crap out of them and calling the brokers bosses,they finally came thru with a com check for the full amount.
whew,was I relieved...

 

This Is exactly why the D.O.T. needs to go after the companies instead of the drivers. It is a bunch of political baloney.

 

Link America in Tulsa OK is a joke!! They pre-qualify you, bring you from your home, make you suffer for 3 days and then say they are not going to hire you. My self and my wife came from SC to Lakeland FL for me to go to work for Link America. They told me they would pay for the rental car, gas and expences for me to come and work for them, and also pay me for 2 days orentiation. Boy was that a bald face lie or what!!!! They decide after all was done that they were not going to hire me because the last place I worked wrote me bad checks and owed me pay and I had filed charges on the checks and a lein the truck. (Coastal Express, Mills River NC Jack W Fleming). So I guess when they saw I could not be jerked around they decided to hire me. They put me and my wife out of the motel into the street, to find our own way home, they did not pay ANYTHING!!! #### LYERS!!!! By the way stay away from these companies also: John Christner, White Farms aka Triple C Trucking, May Trucking, JB Hunt, and O/Os stay away from Universal Can AM, and espiecally Fuiji Transport. You can save yourself alot of time and money you can also check these companies out on Ripoff.com

 

They should drop the "TR" and just add an "F" to the word and there you have the truth. I was just dropped like garbage in Minnesota and I live in Tampa.
No ride to the bus, nothing. Dogs are treated better. Avoid Taylor Trucking Inc. from Minnesota.......real scumbags.

 

I live in Fargo,ND.I moved here last year to work for a company that fired me after 1 yr.and 1 week.When I got fired my pickup was right there.Wherever I go next is where I will live next.
