Thank you for the useful advice!
Luckily Penske pulled through and had me take my truck to my local Tec Equipment Volvo dealer for the repairs. Will update again when it is repaired.

Glad it all worked out in your favor then. When I got a quote to fix that issue on mine they wanted to replace all the cab suspension parts at the rear completely to the tune of $2500 I think it was, parts and labor. I eventually will need to replace the cab shocks and maybe the cab air bags.ducnut Thanks this.

Wow, that is quite steep! I believe I only paid $200 on labor to replace the 2 front cab bushing on my 2012 and each bushing only cost about $60.
I’m holding my breath on them covering it all, as there’s a few other issues that needs to be dealt with. I am just surprised as hell that they asked me to take my truck to the most expensive place in NorCal for repairs. -
I can’t believe they didn’t utilize their own shops. Probably a separate deal, sales versus leasing.
-
Yeah I am not sure on why they didn’t but at least I was told by the SA at Volvo that Penske has a good discount through them. Fingers crossed they will approve all the repairs. I can already tell it’s going to be a hefty repair bill.
Things needed repair are:
Cracked windshield
Cab misalignment
VADA sensor misaligned
Rear suspension air bag bracket dented
Missing interior cabinet
Front grill is detached -
Guys the best fix for this issue is getting rid of the faulty designed torsion bar mount.
The Volvo daycab has two solid metal plates that will bolt right up in place of the 2 crap torsion pieces.
Then it will operate like a normal cab air suspension only up and down, no side to side allowed.
OP you'll need fresh cab mount bushings up front with how badly yours is misaligned, it's been damaged/ worn out.
The bushing are about 700 in parts and the solid triangles for the rear bar area only $50 -
Unfortunately the dealer (Tec Equipment) will only install the part that came with the truck even though I had recommended to use the day cab 1pc brackets.
They did the diagnosis saying the shocks and the brackets are the only thing that is wrong with the cab. Nothing I can do to convince them to check into it further as Penske is picking up the tab for all the repairs. -
That's a terrible dealer. Standard procedure is bushings, torsion bar and shocks when they're that far out of alignment.
It's going to wobble on the front bushings being that worn out you'll feel it rocking when driving -
Thanks for the advice!
I did my cab bushings on my 2012 670 and if I remember correctly it was less than $300 for the pair up front parts and labor from my independent. So it’s not too much out of pocket if I have to replace that out of pocket. -
I finally got my truck back after nearly a month for some minor repairs through the dealer. They sure as hell took their sweet time.
So they replaced my front cab bushing, torsion bar and both brackets. It is much better than before but definitely not perfect as in it’s still slightly slanted but acceptable.Attached Files:
