Nice try @Ridgeline ! Most don't have room on their dash for one. Gotta have the phone, GPS, and tablet TV going. Gotta have that nasty flip flop wearin' foot on the dash too!

I have a 24-inch monitor on my dash for watching movies. It really helps with the boredom.

 

That happened to me a couple years ago.. I will never forget the oh #### feeling of pulling out to the left lane to pass a truck and seeing headlights coming right at me... In my case it wasnt a semi , but a passanger car running from the cops on i40 just outside tucumcari... Same situation , not 1 peep on the cb radio. Until i keyed up and called it out. Never got a response either.

 

It's always been pretty standard for a covered wagon, hopper, cattle wagon to have a radio on. I'm seeing less and less. I can't imagine them big large cars don't have a radio in them. They have all the lights.

 

Only turn off when in the sleeper, sometimes there a idiot preaching or some noise making 3 year old on the CB. Then I just us my RF gain to tune most of them out. Or turn down the volume when I get close to them idiots and RF gain is no more useful in quieting them down.

He's not hard to squelch out over here in the east.

He's not hard to squelch out here in the eastern US. I don't care what's going on much past 5 or 10 miles.

 

I know. Just don't see how he gets any work done to anybody's radio when hes busting gums on the radio all day. I had an antenna issue on mine for a while and got that fixed and now he is all I hear. Of course most folks don't answer for radio checks anymore anyway. Long as I can hear other people close to me about accidents and such I reckon I could squelch him out too.
