PAM does have all autos and so does Hogan out of St. Louis but they still have a few manuals floating around in the fleet. I thought Maverick at one time was running them but I guess they switched back to the good ole manual. It's like them super singles, TMC ran them but they are now switching back to duals from what I hear.

Actually Swift has literally a few auto's, 50 in the whole fleet, I was talking to a fellow swift driver who had one. Swift found they didn't get the fuel mileage they were looking for, so they decided not to go that route..

yes autos get worse fuel mileage but as stated before there getting better but Eaton has never been able to figure them out and the Allisons cost an arm and a leg but are great for the most part so thats why fleets stay with manuals (im a mechanic trying to become a driver) if ya have any ?? feel free to ask em

I had an automatic Freightliner during my last few months with Schneider. I absolutely loved it. That's my 2 cents for what it's worth.
