2grand after lease, insurance, gas, student pay, vmp, fuel tax, and putting money into his maitance account, that was his income. we will take about 300 out of that for taxes so when all is said and done we will bring home 1,700. We could probley do with a little less for taxes but I like to be safe we normally end up with aout 1,200 to much in his tax account each quater.
jtrnr1951 Thanks this. -
BlackW900 hs not the 1st to care about training his phase one trainer was awesome!!! He taught my husband everything not just about driving but about the business too. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude. That guy really took his job seriously. He also paid for my hubby to live on the road at that time to.
-
Good for him. It is rare these days to hear of a trainer actually care about his job, doing what he's supposed to do and not just using his student as an extra log book. I apologize for sounding so sarcastic.
-
That's so funny! I just got an email from CR ENGLAND to update my app and re-apply. All I could do at that moment was hit ****DELETE****.
If I went back otr, that is one place I would avoid like the plaque.

DAM! Does he make this kind of money most weeks? How often does he get home? Where does he primarily run to?
-
Lol wait till he wants to take a week off he will be in the soup upside down on his filease payments . It's a training school trucking company wait till csa law comes inafect they will go down . There turn over rate lol . I did make money there but you get all kids of people there who don't care I took my time training and teaching them the biz. But they will sink you as soon as you stop training or ask for any amount of time off . Only 1 that I trained there I no isn't driven cuz he had an attude from day 1 .
-
When a business person puts money aside with plans for taking time off, it wouldn't even create a hic-cup in their payments or ability to pay them.
From what I'm reading, it sounds like that's their business approach. And therein lies the key.
Big truck truckin' needs to be treated as a small business.
That's what it is.CRE seems to have discovered how to profit from the age-old problem of high turn-over rates in the Big truck truckin' industry.Congratulations.
You did the right thing.
Not everybody does.
Not everybody will.
That's life where ever y'all go.Hmmmmmmmm
Is there a solution?
How 'bout don't stop trainin' and don't ask for any amount of time off?
I'd say beat-up the dispatcher, ....... but we all know why that ain't likely. He isn't "driven"?
Or did you mean driving?
Either way, was his "attude" good or not so good?
For years I've been requesting a successful C.R. England driver(s) to explain how they achieve(d) their success. Obviously there are CRE company and lease drivers who are succeeding. I just wanna learn how.
I think Kiacosiah is providing useful, interesting and educational information along with demonstrating an excellent work ethic and proper approach to being a small business owner, albeit on wheels.
Some of us may not agree with C.R. England's methods, but there must be ways to work within the system or all would fail. Whether you or I would flourish at CRE isn't the subject. It's how someone else is managing to work the system and make it work for them at C.R. England.
Personally, I hope they do very well.
What they decide to do or where they decide to go, or stay is a business decision for them to make. It interests me what they base their decision(s) on.
Who knows?
I might apply with CRE someday.
Drive a red Big truck all polished up and lookin' ever-so-fine.
Imagine that.
H O N K -- H O N K
Howdy!
And I don't set my sights on failure.

Owners operator This is his 3rd week as a phase one trainer and this week he is scanning 6,000 miles so his pay will be right around the same. Like I said in my earlier post hard work and dedication are finally paying off so it wasnt always and wont always be a walk in the park. His home time varies but that is something we both went into this totally aware of we have to make some sacrafices to acheive the outcome we want in the end. In all honesty every time he has asked to come home his DM has routed him home. We just choose to ask less then we would like for financale reasons.( Hes the only one that works and we have 6 kids so money is always tight).Plus he doesnt really ask to come home for a week or weeks at a time, He breaks it up to two or three days hear and there.
Bbird like aftershock said we plan ahead for anytimes that he comes home so its not going to break us. He has come home and been in the negitve it hasnt killed us yet with proper planning. Plus most times he will request 2-3 days like Friday, Sat, Sun, this way he ran for wensday and thursday and still has monday and tuesday of the next week on the same settlement , witch normally works it out for either a very small pay or atleast breaking even. -
Hey that's great, I am glad he's earning a living for his family. To be honest I was surprised to see a CR England success story though.
