Glass cleaning

You gotta mix the dawn with alcohol if you put in a spray bottle

 

OK cool, thanks. Every time I've mixed it with water it seems to clog up the pump.

 

DONT USE FUEL ISLAND SQUEEGE'S!!
I use regular, cheap, window wash (Winter when needed)in a spray bottle, add about an ounce of dish soap (detergent) and a good dose of Clear Ammonia. You can get the Clear Ammonia at Walmart in the cleaning isle. Ammonia is HANDS DOWN the best glass cleaner. Spray it on the windshield, start the pumps, spray a little on YOUR squeegee, and it all comes off. Easy peasy.

 

Twice a year I do a "super clean" on the semi and both cars windshields, and only use Rain-X rated to -20 in the washer bottle

 

Before you buy a bottle of ammonia, shake it. If it foams up that means it contains water and water is what causes streaks on glass.

So far Ace Hardware's store brand ammonia is the only stuff I've found that does not contain water.

 

I use the walmart stuff and with my squeegee the windows are squeaky clean, takes road grime, bug guts everything off.
