Most people frown on this, but I do like my ginger ale. Fortunately with ginger the zero sugar variety doesn’t taste as awful as the likes of diet coke.

In my powerlifting days, I competed in the 220 class. Got back on the road and in a 15 year period, my weight crept up to 235-240. My youngest brother had 2 back surgeries, starting counting calories, limited himself to 2000 a day, dropped from 275 to 220 in nothing flat. I don’t agree with that but I asked how. I cut mine by 10% and in 2 months, I dropped from 235 to 200. I didn’t look bad but my knees were bothering me and my mobility was suffering. Worlds better mobility now. I almost feel like running. Almost…
During the week, it’s hamburger steak and eggs or pork chops and eggs or tilapia filets and rice and those carbonated flavored waters. On Saturday, I will go out.
Best thing of all? You look in the mirror and your face begins to look chiseled. Went out and bought 3 suits yesterday and had them tailored. Haven’t done a suit since I was 30. “Six, you’re making ugly look good!”
Anyway, stay in the gym. The iron makes you feel good. Keeps me sane. Well sane’ish. Don’t do anyone’s diet. Customize your own and then permanently stick to it. Rock and roll.singlescrewshaker, Gatordude, D.Tibbitt and 7 others Thank this. -
You know how you see those guys walking in to a truck stop with their 44 ounce cup, filling it up with Mountain Dew? Every time they stop? How many calories are we talking? Over a thousand or so a day, just in Mountain Dew? Haven’t even fed the machine yet, and a thousand calories in. And you see these guys 200lbs overweight. No one likes being morbidity obese. What would happen if the guy switched from doing the Dew to something zero sugar, zero cal?singlescrewshaker, Gatordude, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this.

My friend back when a week or so before bodybuilding competitions would go to a diet of XXoz of plain cooked chicken and an ice cube X times a day. Shocking the change, fast, the bulky hulk to crazy muscle definition and veins like snakes. After the big show he'd eat literally sacks full of McD's plain burgers.

Certified fat ### here. I have the credentials. The best way to lose weight, is so stupid simple it’s not even funny. Eat only when you’re hungry, protein heavy, and just a moderate amount.
The problems come when people have cravings bordering addiction and when people eat when bored.singlescrewshaker, Feedman, CAXPT and 3 others Thank this. -
I do the same. Low calorie, high protien, low fat, no sugary drinks, light beer, good whiskeysinglescrewshaker, Feedman, CAXPT and 2 others Thank this.

Could be worse. I got in Ma's Trailblazer last week to take her to an appointment - phew! Friggin' mouse went through the cowl, somehow got past the fan, snuggled up against the heater core.....and died. That's an RFN job.
Side note- I put traps in the garage baited with peanut butter, got 1 but one trap has tripped twice and no PB on it. It must be launching that little mf'r into the rafters.singlescrewshaker, beastr123, exhausted379 and 6 others Thank this. -
Mice are little ########.
Are you using Victor traps or knock-offs? I've had the same problems with generic mousetraps. Either tripped with no mouse or the bait is gone and the trap never tripped. Bought Victors and they work every time.singlescrewshaker, Feedman, CAXPT and 3 others Thank this. -
POS with the plastic bait/trip thing.
I had some feral cats hanging around keeping the field mouse population down but the coyotes ate the cats and the neighbor shot the coyotes.
[edit] I'm thinking of fabbing something up in the shop like the old mole traps with the 12ga shot shell. Vaporize them.

I may have taken it wrong. My thought process was for the people that try to absolutely operate in a calorie deficiency. They loose weight and are sickly, normally gaining weight back. What your saying I do agree with.
I just took it differently. No worries.singlescrewshaker, cke, exhausted379 and 5 others Thank this.
