I don't understand how you say oppertunities will open for veteran truckers... The only people I see making money are veterans.. You guys are in the decent companies and making decent company...
I see how maybe if a veteran has a lot of tickets or a lot of dots.. Then maybe some of the larger companies won't want you.. But if you have 5+ years.. Why go to a larger mill? You have your pick at most all companies...
I wish I just had a year ex, so I could atleast get a steady 2000 or 2500 a week.. I really want a company too, that atleast knows my name.. If nothing else..

ummm. ..... he probably has a deal that pays per mile for driving time and hourly for non-driving stuff.
Said he had 2100 miles and got 44 hours ALSO. Not 2100 in 44 hrs.
At least that's what I think?
................. Jim -
I dunno... All cali miles.. I'm sure he means miles and then non driving is hourly.. Since his sig pic is of a moving van.. Maybe that's how... I dunno... Either way that seems like a awesome set up there...

i know when i first started with my company. we were leased out. hauling contaminated soil from a burst oil pipe. leaving the yard. about 60 miles to load site. hauling 2 loads. about 200 miles round trip. and back to yard. total was about 550 miles. AT LEAST 11 hours. times that by 5 days. 2750 miles in 56 hours. i think it was more like 58 hours though. the only non driving was getting loaded. which took about 5 minutes per load. getting unloaded sometimes took a bit as it was cold days and the load would freeze.

who routes this crap?!?! 5 stops in cali for my load home. I live in the immediate bay area and my load is routed as follows... Stop in Tracy, Oakland, SSF, back to livermore and merced. "I" would have routed merced, tracy, livermore, oakland, SSF then ill only be 20 miles from home. 2 of them are driver unload with no lumpers. 1 doesnt specify, and 2 lumpers are avail where one of those i need to call 24 hrs in advance for lumpers.
