D.Tibbitt, Soltaker and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
I agree. That driver should have anticipated the RV coming over. I think his company, after reviewing the video, will consider it to be a preventable accident. Whether you are at fault or not, if there is something reasonable that you could do to prevent an accident, and you don't do it, the accident will probably be considered preventable/Bean Jr., Sirscrapntruckalot, INRUT and 5 others Thank this.

Both drivers in that video are IDIOTS!!!!
Sirscrapntruckalot, INRUT, Savor the Flavor and 2 others Thank this. -
Id say this is an 80/20. Rv driver gets 80 driver gets 20. As others have said driver goofed for sure. However, playing devils advocate. its also easy to second guess him from the sideline. R.V driver is defo the cause and another example of idiot with too much money and getthereitus. Hell for all we know the R.V has sped up then backed off a couple times and the driver decided since it didnt pass before it wouldnt pass now.
Again i agree it was the morons fault but the driver also screwed up. But in a case like this you gotta play devils advocate. Sadly the driver now has an incident on his license and a good chance of getting sued. And of course this will be potrayed as a truck hits R.V wreck. -
No, no it most definitely won’t. Learning’s for suckers.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

I'm with you. That truck driver "reserved" the hammer lane way too early, and didn't even try to help the RV. That RV was going so much faster than him, backing out of it would have cost him about one full second of his time, and then the RV would have been on his way. The RV was only passing on the right, because that idiot steering wheel holder shouldn't have been in the left lane to begin with.
Truck driver probably didn't even look up from YouTube until the RV made contact with his fender. -
Maybe so but it would have also cost the RV one second to wait and pass on the left. There’s always someone who’s going to go faster than anyone in the left lane regardless of what they’re driving, if you’re going to try and thread the needle on the right you better make #### sure you’re doing it right.RockinChair Thanks this.

I don’t understand what you mean by reserved the hammer lane to early? He was passing the other truck and the entitled impatient one in the rv had to be first. It happens all the time. This is why most new age truck drivers come right up on your Mansfield bar before they change lanes to pass and cut off your left front fender to get back in your lane when finished. Because someone more important is always gonna try to fill that little hole and pass you on the right during an otherwise clean legal pass.
RockinChair and drvrtech77 Thank this.
