Ummm... I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Is that a light saber???
What "hoses" are you talking about? What do the other end of them look like? Did part of them break off?Siinman, Bizzarrogeorge, Bean Jr. and 11 others Thank this. -
You know the plastic hose (red and blue) that goes to the black rubber hose then returns back to the red and blue plastic hoses?Cattleman84 Thanks this.

Cage the brakes and roll to shop
TripleSix, 77fib77, Opendeckin and 2 others Thank this. -
Those would be your brake airlines... Those MUST be connected to legally move the trailer. If the red one is not connected the trailer brakes won't release, if properly adjusted. There are ways around this but I dont think you should do that, seeing as you didnt even know what the "hoses" were. Not trying to be rude, just saying if you dont have the knowledge of what something is... Its probably not a good idea to disable, bypass, or modify its function.Siinman, JolliRoger, Bean Jr. and 14 others Thank this.

But can I go plastic to plastic. I have the connectors.

@Ikamob01 if you know what the following quote means and how to did it... Then yes that is what you should do. If you do not know what this means or dont know how to do it... Call for a mobile repair to come fix the problem.
Siinman, Bean Jr., Flat Earth Trucker and 4 others Thank this. -
I know what they are. 4 years experience. Are those big hoses just for tandern slidings

If you’re taking about connecting the plastic one on the tractor , to the plastic one on the trailer , without using the flexible coiled up one that’s normally between the tractor and the trailer ,
NO , no you should not .
it won’t stay connected because it’s not flexible enough to handle turning corners .
Post up a better pic of the problem .
I’m a little confused as to what happened ?
Did you run over some debris ?
or is it just the flexible coiled up “gladhand” line that’s damaged ? -
I dont know... I cant see what the other end is connected to. But I would guess no, not just for sliderSiinman, Bean Jr. and 4mer trucker Thank this.
