Stop thinking like a company driver, you need to look at revenue, not miles, there’s nothing impressive to me about running like that.
you are leaving a lot on the table being power only
O/O looking for a change

Trucking is fine for those who don't haul general freight on the spot market. I'm power only delivering to grocery stores for a major grocery warehouse @ 2.20 a mile and average 2000 miles a week working 3 days a week. I spend the other 4 days a week at home because those 3 days a week make about 3 times what I need to live.
Even if I wanted to switch gigs though there's tons of work. I know where I could go pull quad axle cattle pots right now making 2.5-3 a running mile. There's a ton of side dump and belly dump work for road construction season and around here in cattle country they need help moving manure from feedlots to fields to fertilize them. Last I heard that was paying 105 an hour pulling their wagon although that was a couple years ago. There's a steel plant in town you pull their trailers and deliver to their customers who always seems to be taking owner ops as well although I don't think they pay that great.
Point is there's tons of opportunities outside of general freight on the spot market which only makes up 15% of the total freight. Set down roots somewhere. Get to know people and work in a smaller area where you can be a bigger fish instead of being a minnow swimming around the entire lower 48. -
Ok thank you.
I’m in Kansas now and watching the cattle haulers.
