I saw that one too. The song is almost 60 years old talking about a lack of communication. Darkness the Friend vs the Neon God made by humans.

You and I are about the same age and so I wonder if you and I have similar experience. I used to write letters to girls I was interested in. The phone calls were so expensive that I could only afford 1 hour a month. Stamps and envelopes were cheap. So I wrote letters. What did letter writing get me?

Had to stand in front of a father (IN HIS HOUSE) and talk to a Man about his daughter. We did it! Talk about anxiety…

 

The liquid totes had me do a double take for a sec.

 

Yea I remember those days lol. When I was on the road while married to my first wife I kept an abundance of quarters, dimes, and nickels.

Those prepaid phone cards were handy at times when I had a pager lol. Never owned a cell phone until my now wife bought me a flip phone. I was dragging rattlesnakes in from the mines when I was running dozer for EZ, she was worried I would get bit and never make it to town…

 

Oh yea, asking dad for his daughters hand lol…. He owned the local hardware store in Hinton, WV just on route 20. Not far from Sandstone mountain on I-64.

I was nervous as dog sh*****g razor blades…

 

I like 70's era tunes - Motown, funk, aspects of disco, Country Western, rock at the time, British Invasion, punkers, heavy metal, reeeeeal early industrial, the sheer debauchery that was Fleetwood Mac....

So I put this up in jest.

Everything seems just fine to me?

Heard a dry apron, 5th wheel connection can cause irregular steer tire wear. I don't have any..

 

It definitely can, along with actual steering/driveability issues. In extreme cases even dangerous

 

Never found a woman I've considered marrying but I've met a few fathers. That part gets easier the older you get. Seems like once you hit 30 they don't look at you like a punk kid anymore. I've found most fathers give you a lot more respect if you don't let their intimidation tactics work lol. My guess is it shows them you aren't weak.

 

Wheel bearing and ball joints are now done on the other side of my truck. Bearing was still tight but felt a bit rough. Seems like 200,000 km is my magic number for wheel bearings. So busy the last week I never even had a chance to pick up tie rods or sway bar bushings. Guess that's a next weekend problem.

Now to go do some roofing
