Lol, No Sir, I wasn’t able to make it to the show this year. It’s always a good time with like minded friends….

 

Just checking...sounded like an allergy or short windedness.
It was interesting watching them trying to get those old engines started, and when they couldn't start them, they just decided to switch to "Music".

 

It wasn’t a tactic when I did it. Her father’s name was Rey (King) and he lived like a king. Apparently, it was a big ordeal because uncle aunts, cousins…EVERYONE related showed up. Rey was the patriarch of the clan, and some goofy kid (me) was coming for one of his daughters. He was calm and non threatening. Zero intimidation. Has danger written all over.

My girl came by to check on me , and while she was there, I got his attention and started to speak. Her mother seemed shocked and stuck her head out of the kitchen. Mom was impressed. Rey stayed stoic. He said something to me that I live by, “because you speak to me as a Man, I will give you the respect of a Man. Always respect my daughter.”

I changed it a bit for the club bylaws but it says the same thing, “If he carries himself as a Man, give him the respect of a Man. If you cannot, you are not a Man.”

 

I’ve been lucky I guess. Every girl I’ve dated didn’t have a father around.

… wait it a minute… that’s why I haven’t found one to marry!

 

After pry baring them all off the deck and stacking, I had to move them 3 times, but daggonnit, I brought them home! Well, left 6 that had termites at the first stop. If I stayed out any longer, I'd have probably tossed them. By the end of the week I was just sick of tripping over them haha.

 

Forgive the city kid in me, but I was waiting for them to stop the engine before putting the belt on the pulley.

Her familia hated me. I can speak rudimentary Espanol, como un nino. And the ####-talking I was able to comprehend was amazing.
