Perhaps working for a shredding company. That job would involve going to office to buildings to pick up paper.

If you really want to move, bedbugging may be for you. You will carry furniture and boxes from people's houses and load them into the moving truck, and then repeat the process in reverse at the other end. Also, loading in and loading out at trade shows and exhibitions.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Local flatbed or RGN. There is quite a bit of exercise in either one. RGN doesn't necessarily mean O/S O/W super loads. If you get on with an equipment rental or a small construction company you'll sometimes move eight or loads a day and that means plenty of exercise.
Our lowbed is scheduled for ten moves today and he'll hardly get out of town.
The other jobs listed by the members here are good, too. -
my thoughts exactly. There’s a big difference between controlled exercise and tearing up cartilage.
Slipping and tearing up knees, trying to catch things as they start tumbling and shredding the shoulders . Slipping and trying to catch yourself seems to do the most damage, even if you succeed in preventing a fall.ducnut Thanks this. -
I’ve had quite a few physical jobs. The only one I couldn’t handle so far involved drilling hundreds of self-tapping screws per day into a variety of steel objects. This inflamed my tennis elbow so I had to quit.
When I worked on a temporary fencing crew I lost 18 lbs and was in the best shape of my life—better than in football training. When a fence doesn’t have to be straight or plumb you can throw it up at a frantic pace!
But, I will be 49 this year. My body may not be able to handle what it did in my late 30’s.
Really, I can go anywhere. My connection to Springfield is family; but, I have no wife, no children, and I don’t keep a residence.
Actually, I might want to move back toward the ocean (West coast), the gulf of Texas, Oregon, maybe San Antonio (I hear good things about the area). I really love the ocean though!
Fuel hauling sounds pretty good. I already have tankers endorsement and a TWIC card. I’ve been thinking about getting hazmat since it’s just a free multiple choice test in the state of Missouri. I’m pretty good at all things academic. It should be pretty easy. They might be looking for more than a year experience though…
These are some great ideas, thanks!!!Kyle G. Thanks this. -

This one you can work in any state and not have to change your cdl. I think they pay boarding and meal money also.
One driver on here signed up for it and asked for Las Vegas and was approved.downplay Thanks this. -
I will send you a PM about my company info. Since you are pretty open as far as location, you can do a search on their company site and see what you can find.downplay Thanks this.

That will certainly wear a man out. I had a day like that once and I felt it for a while.
At least with my current run I get enough miles to stretch my legs and satisfy the road itch. -
That local RGN will either get you in shape or grind you down to a nub. Our number one RGN guy is good at running stuff over the back and over the side and not tearing anything up. He's in his 70s and he's been going to retire every year for the last five years or so. Somebody that wants to learn this game could get a real education just following him around. He makes it look easy....the good ones always do.
