MO has the best BBQ but I am bias since I am from here. KCMO BBQ is the best in MO.

Thanks for proving one can rile up a Texan with just a few words. :)

I enjoy messing with Texas. It's so easy. Plus...I never said NC had better BBQ. I said I'd send him some just to piss off half of Texas for fun. :)

I don't care who has the better BBQ as long as they share. ;)

KC has great BBQ. Better than Texas.

Just playing Texas, slow your roll. No need to let loose the Rangers on me, or form a posse.

I do like KC BBQ though.

I visited the Alamo several years ago and discovered who is really messing with Texas. The culprits were none other than the caretakers of the Alamo themselves, The Daughters of the Texas Revolution.

For sale on a long table were cheap plastic toy soldiers and period rifles along with children's story books and such.

I thought that was the cheesiest thing. You and I both know cheese belongs on tacos, and not a national historical site.

Did you see a bunch of young men all dressed in blue? Boot camp for the Air Force is in San Antone and they would let us out for one day near the end of our training to walk along the riverwalk and get ice cream and cookies at the USO.
I can remember an old man ( he must have been at least 40) telling us how he had done the same thing when was in boot camp oh so many years ago.

They are no longer the caretakers. The State of Texas took over, and now they're really messing with everything by forcing a redesign of the entire Alamo Plaza. It is very contentious, nobody down here wants it except the powers-that-be.

JoeyJunk and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

That wasn't even close to riled up (NC BBQ ain't worth getting riled up over) just a casual comment about the limited menu selection in the tarheel. But I guess I shouldn't have made a comment about the sauce being vinegar-y, I guess I should have been happy that they didn't serve their BBQ with Duke's mayonnaise like they do everything else in that state.

    Neither did anybody else. :p

No, I sure didn't. What I did see strolling around the San Antonio riverwalk were motorboats, shops, and cafès. Such an idyllic setting for a date.

    @Sirscrapntruckalot

Well, I have completed my move to Fort Worth and have been trying some of the local cuisine. Riscky's and Panther City have been knocked off the list.

I had the sausage sandwich at Riscky's on Thursday for lunch. It did not disappoint. My brother had the St. Louis style ribs.

Today, we all visited Panther City and ordered the Hell's Half Acre, which is a meat sampler platter with burnt ends, sausage, ribs, and turkey. The burnt ends were covered in a candy bbq sauce that was baked onto the meat. A little too sweet, but still good.

Brother brought home ice cream cartons from Braums the other day. That was some tasty ice cream.

On the job front, I have decided to go with Western Dairy Transport. It's too hot to run chemical tank here. :violent3:

I hope to start with them this week.

The Turtle twins aka Castro bros would rather pick it up and send it back down to Old Mex on a truck.

The turtle twins - that's nicer than anything I've ever called them.

It doesn't matter who's the mayor, we all know who really runs San Antonio.
