i would say for the law to get a search warrant, and check his house for weapons....

this could be the next mass shooter soon.

[IMG] [IMG] Immersion (Piss Christ) is a 1987 photograph by the American artist and photographer Andres Serrano. It depicts a small plastic crucifix submerged in a small glass tank of the artist's urine. The piece was a winner of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art's "Awards in the Visual Arts" competition,[1] which was sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, a United States Government agency that offers support and funding for artistic projects.

I find this incredibly offensive. And the fact that my tax dollars helped fund this is outrageous. While I don't believe most art that isn't specifically made for the general public should be funded by tax money I strongly believe that it is rarely any of my business what people want to call art. Child abuse and such things are obviously a hard line that shouldn't be crossed. But just because I'm offended doesn't mean it should be illegal.

The logic behind this is one of the reasons why the eastern world doesn’t respect American culture and wants nothing to do with it.

freedom of speech and expression should be absolute. You can’t cherry-pick.

I agree but that was property that wasn’t his that he was defacing. You’d be ok looking out your front window of your house and seeing the neighbor dumping on the hood of your truck in an act of expression? Or taking down your American flag and dumping on it?

the question is would it be a hate crime if any American flag taken down and burned that was on my property be considered a hate crime or just destruction of property. If I purchase an alphabet flag and burn it or crap on it would that be considered hate crime?

that’s what I mean when it’s absolute. Destruction of property I understand but hate? That itself is almost impossible to prosecute unless you have a slanted jury and court.

There was a group of people and they owned something he destroyed. Do you think he likes those people? Is this like the little girl in Elementary who pushes you down because she really likes you? Maybe he’s a closeted trans?
