Werner Still on The Hook For $90M

I read about this the other day. I don't understand how they would be liable in the court of law. So no way in hell they should be losing that lawsuit but they did.

 

It's a hate for trucks, and a hate for any person or entity either deep pockets. I can't help but wonder that if it was a lesser known company, or a single truck amd trailer operation, would this have even gone to court.

 

Werner should pay $1.00 for 89 million years.

 

Yes. Don't forget about the small 25 or so drivers company that got sued out of business simply because the trailer was involved in a wreck not even anybody from the company itself.

 

Now that I'm thinking about it, I think there was a car hauler down in Florida in which a motorcyclist hit him, in the rain; and the motorcyclist got 400 mil after trucker tried to settle for a mil, which would have covered his medical bills. The car hauler was an O/O.

 

This is why so many companies will settle out of court even frivolous claims.

Anything can happen when your fate is in the hands of 12 people that are too stupid to get out of jury duty.
