It would be rough.... & oh yes you would know it in the truck. Plus a solid rubber tire probably wouldn't hold together at 60+ mph. Anyone ever pulled a heavy trailer with one or both busted air bags? You feel every chip in the road.

Actually, its the same reason you don't put solid rubber tires on anything except things like fork lifts, small lawn trailers, tricycles etc. Even then, you see chips out of them and some broken all the way across.

I tried them on an English bicycle back in my teen years.
Had to take them off, the ride was so rough.

We’ve got a skid steer with solid tires. It’s no one’s favorite. Rough riding sob.

I ran some solid airplane tires on the front of the tractor, and then had some regular tri ribs foam filled.

    No good

All that said, twice in winter I had ice build up in my wheels and deflate drive tires due to my air through valve caps.

Since you don't have to worry about over pressure too much off your truck, use a locking air chuck and stay away

u ever rode in a skid steer with solid rubber . it is rough... a solid rubber semi tire would have to weigh a couple hundred pounds i would imagine... they are already heavy enough to move around as it is

Maybe there's a way we can inject bleach into the tires, and then it might kill all the bad stuff inside the tire and melt the holes together while possibly being lighter than a solid rubber tire.

FerrissWheel, Numb and The_vett Thank this.
