Another Horrible company

    UA Trucking in Charlotte NC....
    The just stole my last paycheck
    1100.00 dollars, because I only gave a ten day notice. I had to get treatment for my cancer that was in remission.
    Of course they are a fly by night fraudulent company.
    They edit your ELD logs so that you are working 16,18 hour days everyday.
    The guy in charge Elijah is a complete jerk. Ok you have that everywhere in life.But this guy should not be running a Trucking Co.
    A liar number one. He knows everything,but has never driven a truck.Quote. You want me to be your Mama and Daddy. You want to be my friend .He has no people skills. Zero.
    You have a conservation with him,or try to,you are wasting your time. He has no idea of what it takes to be a truck driver. He told me ##. Just not to my face. They coward will not return my calls
    The claim I damaged their junk truck,tires and wheels. 859.90 dollars.
    Quit with no notice,even though I gave them 10 days. 200.90 dollars.
    Bottom line my pay stub claims I owe them 600.09 dollars.
    Thank God I going back to a great company,more to come on that.
    Yes I should know better,and took pics of my truck when I left.
    To make a very long story short,anyone in the Charlotte NC area avoid them.
    The craigslist add says new food grade trailers. Lie number one. 2020 tractors,lie number two.
    They pay detention,at least they claim they do.
    I sit 12 hours waiting to get loaded.
    No pay.
    .The broker will not return their calls
    I can only hope karma and the dot catch up with this company .
    Please do not be judgemental. I have 34 years of experience. Trust no one

    Did you have a contract with this company or was it at will employment? It might be worth giving an attorney a jingle, if you want your money back.
    Check with NC and see if they have a wage claim process for you to try to recover your wages. I am not sure about everywhere else but in Texas a wage claim is free to the person who got shafted. The labor board, work force commission or whoever it is in that state will conduct an investigation and determine how much the company owes you and ultimately order them to pay you. That would likely be your cheapest and possibly quickest option to recover your stolen wages. I actually just googled "North Carolina Wage Theft", if you do that the link you need to visit will be the first one in the results, takes you to the NC DOL page titled "How to File a Wage Complaint".     He isn’t lying I just quit there and had to threaten them with legal action to get my last check we will see where it goes from here
