    Hello everyone
Recently my kenworth 2022 t680 started having an issue with the transmission the truck has only 170k miles. It mostly happened when I was going uphill when I downshifted from 12th gear in manual mode message popped up saying “stop driving or damage will accrue to the transmission” and same thing happened today when I tried to up shift from 11th gear in manual mode both times I had to pull of to the side turn off the truck and turn it back to and goes back to normal like nothing happened I do plan to take to the dealer but in the meantime anybody had this issue or something similar
    Thank you.

    Common.
Where do you have your eld plugged in?
That's where the dealer will start. Could be ground. Impossible to tell without a computer

Why are you pushing the buttons?, let the computer decide when to upshift/downshift. The computer is telling you ‘don’t touch those buttons’. lol

You more than likely have a Eaton Endurant. t is Eaton answer to Volvo Ishift, DT12 etc. Many recalls for this unit from Paccar. Check with your local dealer.

Hi, what ever became of this situation? I am experiencing the same situation, I also went to start truck and it seamed dead, but had plenty battery, the trans didn’t recognize neutral, played with shift stalk and it started, wondering if it’s a defect in shifting stalk??

The truck I drive does the same thing does not like for the shifter or Jake’s to be used happens most when loaded and in hills or traffic. Basically any time the transmission has to work hard at shifting. Had in shop a few times new clutch, new shifter arm, several computer updates and recalibration done same crap. I have loged over a hundred thousand miles driving this truck with the issue. O and when you bring it to the shop unless the dash is lit up they can not seem to see the event with their computer.

My truck has been doing this since it was new.

I remember reading something about a recall due to improperly crimped wiring connections.

116,000 Kenworth and Peterbilt semi trucks recalled

If you’re fortunate enough to not have it in manual mode when this crapola happens ignore it and keep going. I drove 50 miles once like that and only stopped because I knew I would’ve had to not long after that.
