Skills are a listener, not as a tech. nothing to do with the modifications to the radio, I just didn't like the way it sounded on the recieve as much as I didn't like the way my Micro Seiki DD40 until I replaced the cartridge with an Empire, then it sounded good to me.

You said I was wrong. No need to argue about it, it wasn't the first time.

So you count how many trucks you heard?

You are making a scientific observation with a CB radio?

    Seriously?

    Timin770 Thanks this.

Sounds to me that the FCC still isn't doing anything but writing letters. They fine this guy several thousand dollars twice, and he doesn't pay and they do nothing? Ya I'm sure people are really scared.

They've been sending out a lot of letters and fining a bunch of people, most it seems around $25k.

    Will they pursue this?

    Who knows?

I wish they would return to the way they enforced the regulations in the 70s, come into a violator, take the radios, and leave.

    Oxbow and Timin770 Thank this.

I agree. To prove themselves they can start by taking that guys license and equipment on 28.425. it's gone on long enough. The only saving grace is that 10 meters is down more than up. So maybe that's why they are dragging their feet about doing anything about it.

Yeah, there are a few on 80 and 40 that need to go, the feds know about them but haven't done a thing about it. Then we have two issues on 2 meters where a couple of groups have been threatening people on the calling frequency, and of course they know about it.

I'm sure the FCC will use the excuse that we're short handed. At least that's what other businesses say these days.

Either I hear you or I don't. It's that simple. I lose everybody at the furthest, around mile marker. 232 at the buckhorn exit by the TA truck stop. I've never heard anyone further than that while listening at the 256 except for Tom making it all the way to the 182 before dropping out of my receiver. I spent hundreds of hours listening at that location over 20 years. How many thousands of trucks do you think run across interstate 80 everyday? I'm sure it's quite a bit and it adds up over 20 years
