Doesn't matter what I think. I either hear you or I don't. The only thing that matters is what I hear and what I'm capable of understanding. If you disappear out of my receiver 10 mi down the road, my opinion doesn't matter and neither does yours.

Ouch. I must have hit a nerve.
-
Not at all. My receiver doesn't care what my opinion is or what your opinion is. My receiver only cares what it is capable of listening to.

See here is the thing rabbi, I’ll say what I said before, it doesn’t matter.
I believe you when you say you talked X miles, no doubt it is possible. No doubt you did it.
However when you impugn others by defending your achievement as you have, then it comes down to interjecting doubt into your claim of that achievement.
I never heard you do this, neither has night or others but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been done, what I am doing is poking fun at how you try to shape this as scientific observation and unachievable by the common man without help from someone you elevate, someone who has been getting a bad reputation and who has not acted like someone who gives a crap about others by jamming thing up. -
Actually it really does, otherwise you wouldn't keep pushing how great your radio is because of your tech.
-
So what scientific tool are you using that lets you see the frequency response of the letter "s"?
-
If your talking about your Anytone radio, what do you really gain by having a receiver with a -136dbm sensitivity level. The problem with that is, you run the risk of picking up other unwanted signals too. Yes I understand passband filters.
To use your words, show us the video.Last edited: Jun 16, 2023
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
This would be true, but you never factored in the wider dynamic range of my AGC circuit which is drastically modified. For you that sensitivity would be a problem if your AGC had the factory components because you would have problems with front end overload. I don't seem to have those issues.
Being able to listen to a barefoot Freightliner Cascadia from 74 miles away is a good place to start.Night Stalker10 Thanks this. -
Here is the hissing sound at the end of the letter S.
Naturally, the amplitude should only be about 10% at that frequency. Otherwise you'll be a splatter box.

Okay, so this is an app or computer driven program, which is fine. I noticed they recommend using a calibrated frequency counter vs this app. Like I mentioned my oscilloscope gives me a very good visual, and that's good enough for what I do. Of course you can modify the agc circuit, but I've noticed that a good microphone is a key factor, as far as good audio sounds go.Last edited: Jun 18, 2023
