A nationwide strike for the trucking industry would be impossible especially when you can't get 3 truckers to agree on how much air to put in their tires. And what are you wanting to strike for? Higher rates? Cheaper fuel? The only way that's going to be accomplished is to trim 50% of the herd. Are you willing to bow out? Take one for the team? We aren't union my friend and I have no desire to belong to one. I'm standing with Rollin Coal on this one.

Trucking is what it is. Nothing any one individual can do will change anything. About the best you can do is be the one individual making all decisions for your company and do what you want to do, that is what you are willing to do, and stop blaming others for your problems.

A nationwide strike will brake the supply chain, it will take brokers and shippers out of their comfort zone. Covid in 2020 did just that and we saw what happened.
OOIDA certainly can call its members for a strike, but it won't happen. -

What would the end game be? Make it tougher to get broker authority? Making it tougher to get authority to be a carrier would do more to help rates than regulating brokers. -
and get out of the roads like half of the current wheel holders. I see so many violators every single day. But that of course won't happen.
