Just got the final estimate from the shop. Parts and labor total was $66,680.55. Given the value my insurance assigned to it its about $2,680.55 above total loss cost.
Where is everyone #5

That’s a lot of damage. They going to buy it out?
Why your insurance, didn’t they put her at fault?
Hate to say this, get ready to lawyer up, you’re gonna need it. -
Had you joined a couple Harley Groups and been on the road crew that ran the route before the group ran the route, you could have racked up the miles like I did. 25k in 3 years.

cke, singlescrewshaker, Feedman and 2 others Thank this. -
Next to my trusty old G2C is my M&P Bodyguard. If I have pants on, I almost always have it on me. It’s my left hand piece when I am traveling on Hades.
Bought a leather shoulder holster for the Rhino, but it broke on me during a cross country ride. In the rain. On top of a karambit. Karambit went partially through the sheath into my side. Hurt like a mutha.
Eventually, I will find someone who can make me a Doc Holliday style huckleberrying rig for the Rhino and the Bodyguard.cke, dwells40, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this. -
The local HOG chapter? They always have ride going. The only problem with that is that some people in the ride have never ridden with a group.cke, dwells40, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this.

I agree. Your insurance company is going to do what’s best for them. You get a truck totaled and you take a huge hit in the pockets, especially in lost wages. That’s 20-30 grand missing. That hurts!cke, D.Tibbitt, singlescrewshaker and 4 others Thank this.

Yep, we had two chapters near us. One of them that I bought my bike from that closed a couple of years ago, and one further out that was a little more active in some respects. Riding with HOG is the first exposure that some get to riding in a group, so it's a good place to teach them and keep an eye on them while learning. Helps them build confidence and skill riding side by side, if they're ready to learn, or let them ride staggered until they're ready.

Yeah, I'm a bit too much of a loner to ride with others, and really don't have complete confidence in my skills. I definitely didn't have the skills when I had the Harley
My Son enjoys it, and leads the group he rides with. He's got a lot of experience thoughcke, D.Tibbitt, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this. -
Well, joining the group was the best way to fix those issues, other than the loner thing. Well maybe that, too.
