Even dropping a gear, bringing rpm up and matching the road speed, will still lose momentum quicker.

Try hitting the bottom of the hill at 1700 or 1750 rpm. Don’t let it drop below 1500-1450 before downshifting. Try to keep it would up around 1550-1650. Seems to work well on my 12.7. 14L has more torque. Should pull a hill pretty good.

    Something is wrong... i think

my 3.36 differentials with 13 speed backed by a 485 cat pulls jellico in 12th at 60 mph fully loaded (on 22.5 talls/24.5 low pro)

Yeah. I agree. Something is off. I did the overhead 2 months ago and that didn't help. I'm thinking it's either an injector issue or the ECM wasn't tuned properly when they "fixed" the emissions system. She has days when she runs great, and other days when she's a complete dog.

Back in the day you had to downshift at about 1800 with a 318 Detroit , at about 2400 they were singing!
