What are you talking about? YouTube, CDL Life, Tik Tok, are full of truck stop fights, confrontations, shootings, etc. Also full of guys like you getting tailgated, passed, then break checked. I see it every day myself. I just sit back and think, doesn't that guy in the middle lane, holding everybody up, get embarrassed after being flipped off for the 100th time today... BTW...You're the one that asked the question. You just don't like the answers.

Actually, no. As others have pointed out, you're far more likely to not have an out, running the middle lane. And by creating an artificially high traffic volume around your truck, you're increasing your risk. The only thing you're doing is lowering your insurance companies liability, because more of the accidents will be from behind.

in 200 miles of driving center lane of three the only thing i needed an out from was stink eye.

any artificially high traffic volume around me is from drivers who park next to me on either side, i'm not magneto causing clumps. i don't gaf what other drivers do

i also don't gaf what happens behind me, unless in preparation for a dead stop so I can buffer the extra space and gift it to the avalanche of ignorance not paying attention as far ahead as i am. this whole conversation literally feels like being slapped in the face by children while trying to read a book. there's two open lanes, and i'm staying tf away from merging traffic (because i can), and the cops on the shoulder (because I have to), and I'm doing it in a way that doesn't require any lane changes or middle fingers. tf is everyone parked next to my window for

 

Yeah. We're "children slapping him in the face" when the reality is he sounds like a spoiled brat having a tantrum. "I'm doing it my way because I CAN!"

The thought that maybe if there's 2 open lanes, there's no need to be in the middle one, doesn't even seem to spark a single neuron.

 

well if you just came barreling up behind me with somewhere to be, you're constantly weaving in and out to keep moving, i'm not worried about moving out of your way, why would I mind your business? i'm minding my business, the merging zombies and the cops on the shoulder and the construction bros. if there's a lane open on the left and right, you've been in and out of the left lane all day, i'm not in the way, and i'm not worried about you having to change lanes around me. that's 100% your business, i'm in front of you. my business is what's in front of me.

 

The brake checks make me laugh also! Especially the ones that post thier 30 second clip online complaining about the brake checker but always fail to mention or show how they held up traffic for the past how many miles.
