Might be a dumb question but, how does one remove or replace a wire on the passthrough engine side? Do I need to remove a cover if so how? Do I just need a pin removal tool and punch it down there and pull the pin out?

Don't want to go banging or disassembling stuff and couldn't find a video of anyone doing anything on that firewall.

Pic for the pass through I'm talking about. 20230624_183207.jpg

Remove the plug and post some better pictures. Thinking the lock for the pin is on the part of the plug that is in the receptacle.

10 mm nut and bolt, the nut is captive in the engine side. Access the bolt from drivers foot well and with 1/4 drive 10 mm on a extension undue the bolt. The Canadian dealers sell the male and female pins. Alternatively cut wires ,push out the rubber plugs and run a new gang plug for the one wire.
