Wow! 95 pages on this thread.:evil3: I'm not going to bother checking but this is probably the longest thread on the forum. England, Swift, Covenant and the other bottom feeders don't even come close! :smt067 JBH has got to be the worst on the planet.

The next person that seriously tees me off, I'll send their name and phone number to JBH recruting. :smt077

Well here is the thread for JB. I didnt have to look very long to find it lol. Anyways since Ive been working for them for almost 2 years now I will tell you my experience thus far. Will JB Hunt lie to you: yes. Will JB Hunt cheat you if you dont know what to look for or dont keep up with your money: yes. Is JB Hunt a really bad company to work for: I dont think so. Do I think theyre great, nope. But theyre all right. JB Hunt is a big corporation and acts like any big corporation, just trying to bleed all profits they can dry. When I first started with JB I had to go out with a trainer for a month although I was led to believe that it was only supposed to be two weeks. I also had all medical documents at hand for orientation because Roehl had sent me and another driver home the first day for not having it. As you can see many companies send drivers home after bringing them in for orientation. After I finished with my trainer I thought I was supposed to be making 34 cpm. However, I was on the per diem program and didnt know exactly how much they took out and so I thought the 27 and half cpm was correct. The only way I found this to be false was when I looked it up on the computer and it said if I switched to straight pay then I would be making 30 cpm??? I called them and told them my pay was wrong. They told me that the 34cpm would kick in after working solo for them for 3 months. Well nov 7 rolled around and the pay increase didnt kick in. Called them again. FM said couldnt increase in the middle of pay period. Next week rolls around and guess what. Yep it still was the same. I called him and FM said "Oh pay is right, it will go up in another month". I told him Im not carrying another load until you get my pay straight. He jerked me around a little saying "are you sure you want to go this route cause nobody will win" kind of talk. By the end of the day I was at 34 with back pay from the time I was supposed to get it. Then the 2nd time I was lied to was during college football championship when I wanted to be off. My slip seat time was scheduled for that time and FM said I couldnt be out for more than 2 weeks and take off more than 4 days. Well 2 weeks was almost up and I asked how come Im not headed home. FM told me he said over the phone that I was gonna be out 3 weeks this time. We kept going back and forth until I said send me home. He let me go home. And since then I havent had many problems with them at all. I slip seat to get more time off and when I do I usually take an extra 1 or 2 days off beyond the 4th day and he doesnt ask me why. Does my FM still lie. Every once in a while but I usually can tell beforehand lol. Like when he kept me out for Thanksgiving, I knew this because I was on vacation for Christmas so I said oh well. But now days I usually dont have to check my checks to make sure Im getting paid right. Sometimes I even see stuff on there I didnt know I earned :smt040

And another thing. If you expect a lot of miles think again. We do a lot of short trips with 500 miles being a good run. However in less than 2 years Im making 39 cpm so that isnt bad even with short runs.

Do I doubt JB will backstab me if they feel they need to, #### no lol. It is a pretty safe company to work for in that they wont make you run if you feel its unsafe to do so. They also maintain their equipment real well. But they sure do beat that little furniture company I started with out of Louisiana. They only paid 25 cpm and gave me one whole week of training. Needless to say I took out a stop sign and two mail boxes :D. I also had to unload the entire truck by hand which isnt that bad considering I like the exercise. But you should get paid more than 15 dollars per drop to do it. Thats one thing I wont do again, deliver furniture because you go to a bunch of stores instead of warehouses. Thats enough posts by me and thank you for your time lol.
