I have my CDL with 3 months of experience (not sure it matters) and I’m looking for a decent company to learn flatbed with. I have contacted TMC, Maverick, RE WEST and melton. TMC says I’m too young at 22, maverick hasn’t responded to my calls, melton has given me an Interview Opportunity but I’d prefer mavericks home time compared to meltons 1week/1day home deal, and I don’t know anything about RE WEST other than they teach you RGN/heavy haul Which is my dream job. Does anyone know of any company in the Nashville/Cookeville area that’ll hire and train drivers for flatbed? Thanks
Looking for flatbed work middle TN (new license)

Did you fill out Maverick’s online app? That’s the way to go about it, with them.
I worked for them in the late 90’s. They were a great place to work. I was recently divorced, made some stupid decisions, and got myself terminated. Otherwise, I’d planned to retire with them. -
Since you're new, and dictating terms of how you want to drive, when you're not even trained, I'd say you have a lot to learn about this industry outside of your 3 months of training experience. Stay where you are and get a year of driving and maybe you can be a little more choosy. Until then, bite the bullet and do what's required until you have the experience and can choose where you want to go...and even then, it's not necessarily a given. Unless you own the truck, you're doing what someone else wants under their terms. Not yours. Good luck.

Yea, everyone of the places named have an application submitted with them. I really was hoping they’d pickup the phone I haven’t heard anything but good things about maverick
