This isn't very easy to open your beer with while in use, but it does turn the chime sound off. Also disables the auto shift to park on new ram trucks if you try to reverse with belt off and driver door open.
W923 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Almost half of passengers killed in 2021 car crashes weren't wearing seat belts: NHTSA - ABC News (go.com)

But, hey, no annoying chimes eitherGridaxe5588, tscottme, Numb and 3 others Thank this. -
I wear mine. But I have seen guys that just run the belt behind the seat and leave it hooked up. One of them even had a shirt with an orange stripe where the belt would be.
W923, Canadianhauler21, Cat sdp and 2 others Thank this. -
Just use the seat belt as it was intended to be used... Better than paying the ticket, medical, or funeral expenses.
Gridaxe5588, tscottme, The_vett and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ok I guess I need to clarify something: I wear my seatbelt - when I'm on a road. I want to disable the #### thing so I don't have to listen to it when I'm swapping trailers around, or backing into a parking space and so on.
Canadianhauler21, The_vett, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Take passanger seatbelt and plug it into the drivers side latch

If I'm on the yard doing drop & hook or something, I don't think mine chimes under 10 mph. I'm in a '22 Volvo (red).
Jamie01 Thanks this. -
Yeh I know what one guy used to do is just plug it in while not seated then just sit in front of it. He never liked wearing seat belts due to the rough roads we drive on, however in the US you rarely ever encounter those types of roads unless your running through Chicago.W923 Thanks this.
