An economy cannot grow by eating its own tail. Times change, folks. You're not competing with Dale and Craig anymore, you're competing with Wong and Schnitzel and Mohammad now. Which is how it should be. Free flow of capital, labor, everything. A level playing field grows the whole pie faster. We're in the leveling now and it is painful for the privileged, but in the long run it's to our benefit.
Chieftains and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
You can't be not a bit of a reasonable person to make a statement like that. Your animosity shows.Last edited: Jul 10, 2023

They spent billions of dollars on a spending spree buying up as many companies they can using debt right before the economy crashed and freight levels fell off a cliff.
Teamsters helped them to try and save them since then to no avail. So now they're letting them die.
But let's not talk about all the trucking companies that went under the last 5 years. Quite a bit did go under and pretty much all were non union with the exception of probably one.
But that is largely ignored because it does not fit your narrative.
And yes biden bailed out a few pensions. One of them being central states.
If you knew the history of that fund, the government took control of it back in the early 80s and gave ot to Wall St to pillage.
So they screwed it up, they did the right thing by fixing it.
PLENTY of Teamsters pensions that were not given to Wall St are flourishing.
Your point is moot -
