"We needed unions 50 years ago, but today we're living in a civilized age!"

-Some guy in the 1920s, probably. Likely after talking to his boss.

It's funny to read the union supporters talking about "solidarity" and "united." Not three years ago, and still today, it was and to an extent, still is common to see articles with SEIU, IBEW, Teamsters, and many other unions attacking cops and their unions, while standing arm and arm and raising a fist in solidarity with rioters, looters, and arsonists. What ever happened to your union solidarity? When one union is in trouble, we'll circle the wagons? I guess it all depends on which way the winds of politics blows.

The irony of it all, these same unions standing in solidarity to protest, fostered some of the worst racism of the 20th century, A perusal of the web, I found at least 40 pages of articles regarding claims of racial discrimination at union auto manufacturers, trucking companies, and other manufacturers. I thought unions were about equality, everyone is equal, we treat each other the same we're "brothers and sisters". Hanging a noose in a locker room isn't equality.

These are all such good points, I quit my job to be a trainer at CR England. This recruiting video convinced me.

Can get away with racism in unions because unions protect their members, right or wrong.

No I mean $200k each. Not split.
You honestly think sleeper team drivers make less than me?

And you're gonna take my job? Lmao what a joke.
I promise you were not worried about you clowns. You guys are your own worst enemy.
And on top of that this ain't our first rodeo.
UPS has been dealing with the Teamsters since its inception.
And this model has led to the success of UPS.
    We eat FedEx lunch.
UPS isn't going to a veer away from a model that works.

Sorry hater you ain't scary. Just sad.

I go above and beyond for this company because they treat me well. I've never made a load late due to my actions, and have only missed sort a handful of times due to circumstances beyond my control.

Are there bad apples who are protected by the union? Sure. No different than the ####-up who makes the boss laugh at a non-union shop. People hold on to jobs they don't deserve all the time.

But the union negotiated a fair deal for me, so I hold up my end and represent the company well at all times.

And that's how union shops should work.

LMAO, I call BS, that would make them the second highest paid union workers in the country, second only to the port workers, yeah, the stench on that one can be smelled on mars.

The only thing that kept your job was UPS blinked, there are thousands of truckers in this country ready to jump at the UPS hauls, and if your union wages and benefits are so great, why aren't people beating down the doors to apply for those union jobs? For all you chest thumping, there's four tow companies in my area running UPS trailers, one company has two drivers dedicated to running UPS rail trailers 3 days a week, why aren't you guys running them? Such bragging about the great wages, benefits, perks, UPS should be overcrowded with drivers, there should be zero need at any time of the year, for any reason for them to need outside help.

Own worst enemy, why because we have brains, can think for ourselves? After 25 yrs, I make the same as a 25 yr line haul driver for UPS, the difference, I drive newer better equipment, I don't need taxpayers to bail out my retirement plan.

Nobody was thumping their chest, it is just a reality of life at UPS. 200k is quite possible for a team driver.

But the job isn't easy, and it isn't for everyone. Our doors are always open, though. Come on by sometime.

Oh wait, I forgot your anti-union rhetoric. I guess you wouldn't want to pay a union to go to work. Oh well, good luck.

Oh, but what we pay to the union? That gets us an additional $55,000 per year in benefits, on top of our pay.

So maybe paying someone to go to work isn't all bad? I don't know. I must be delusional.

(And I'm not normally like this, but I've really just had it with the tough mother####ers and their anti-union #### on the internet lately. You think we're overpaid? Put in an application and get ####ing overpaid yourself. I promise you there's a lot of work that goes into that paycheck.)
