When I was in my late teens, I got a job as a chauffeur for a high end hotel. There was this bellman that all the employees hated because he would stab everyone in the back.
The city cops that worked security in the evenings became friends with the bellman. Good friends. He’d ride along with them when he wasn’t working at the hotel. They even got him through to become an auxiliary officer (basically traffic control).
Well, one night, one of the cops took a woman he had the hots for into one of the hotel rooms for some adult fun and the bellman, his ride along buddy, ratted him out to management. The GM brushed it off, but the cop was pissed,“That SOB! After allI did for him! How could he do this to me?”
He’s a snake. You held him close and you got bit. Why are you surprised? He has backstabbed everyone who got close to him before he met you and yet you are surprised when he gets you? WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED? It is obvious who’s a snake, but you will always have someone who will pick the snake up, but then get pissed off angry when he/she does to them what they’ve done to everyone else.
Mrs Howell came to me crying and when I identified the snake as Maryanne, she was surprised because Maryanne had been her best friend since she was 17. Mrs Howell knew that Maryanne had snakebit all the rest of the group, but was surprised when it happened to her? Why are you surprised? To think that a snake who has without fail bitten everyone else will not bite you if you are nice to the snake is utter suicide.
The cops were pissed at the bellman and Mrs Howell was angry with her best friend Maryanne. It’s like those people that go to church and roll around on the floor with snakes. Expect to get bit. “But Six, I am a believer! I am special!”
Thank you JPM, We are responsible for any snakebites. 100% responsible.

@MACK E-6
Does your company hire non cdl and train? Have a friend with box truck/lifgate food delivery experience a and a hard worker. She wants to get CDL, but does not feel her current employment is a good fit. And they want a 2 year contract. Plus I know them and feel they way under pay drivers. She would be willing to start on dock work.CAXPT, Flint1, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this. -
We have class C straight trucks. She might have to start on the dock though on a rather undesirable shift if the nearest terminal has no openings.CAXPT, Flint1, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 5 others Thank this.

Well the home terminal is 40 miles away in Norwalk, Ohio. But they are building one 30 miles west of here. She is not afraid to work. Decided she wants her cdl a, I got mine so long ago, I don't have a good answer for her. But I'm looking for one. She mentioned going the mega fleet route. I'm strongly advising against that. She is dead set to do this, any you folks have a good idea not to ruin her perspective on Trucking, let's hear them. She hustles.
