I found the best pricing was with the smaller tire shops around home,....

Especially if your already a customer with small tires,.....Most little shops seem to reward loyal customers,...

You can save some by buying tires in a no sales tax state(if you have a MC #), like MO,IL,IN,OH,KS and there are others

Don't even need the MC number to do that. Just a DOT number and most places will accept the DOT number of the company that you are leased to.

I bought 18 new virgins last year and I dont believe there is really a cheap way to do it. Actually now that I think about it, there was a lease operator in Wildwood awhile back who was turning the truck back in and was willing to swap his 8 new drives for whatever scrubs someone was willing to swap for $1000. That was a bargain for whoever got it!

I have spent about $5,000.00 on tires sense last Sept. most a the T. A. This was split between two trucks and trailers. The T. A. charged about $150.00 more per tire than my local shop just south of Boston Ma. Shop local stay away from the truck stops.,

Sure it wasn't a female driver? Because I remember a similar conversation in Wildwood, FL that kept us entertained for quite a while. Every 2 minutes she'd key up asking who wants em'? C'mon drivers all ya gotta do is swap your old for my new and pay the shop fee to get er' done.

Must be a lot of po'd l/ops down in FL lol.

Theres a place in across from Milton Transfer in Milton PA who gave my former boss a heck of a deal. I think it was $320 per tire (22.5) since he bought all 18, no recaps. If you want the phone number I'll gt it from him.
