When you get to denver try Western Distributing they have big blue petes. Yeah that dont pay but getting back to ya they run alot of dumps in and around the denver area. If you wanted to stay local or they have reefer's and dry vans to pull government contracts. but they stay out 2 or 3 weeks at a time. I hear its hard to get on with them but its worth it when you get on. I know a couple of the reefer drivers and they love their job. Good luck to ya

Hey Wickked, just wondering how the job hunt turned out. If you're looking to go OTR, I would recommend Western, May Trucking, or Voyager. (They all have terminals in Denver) If you're looking for more local/regional, you should look into Aim Nationalease/Aim Dedicated Logistics. They have a yard in Denver, too. I drove for them out of Loveland, hauling beer regionally from the Budweiser brewery in Fort Collins and it was a pretty sweet job, which I wish personal reasons hadn't dragged me away from.

Or there's always Waste Management. I believe Denver North (Henderson, CO) is still hiring roll-off drivers.

    Good luck!

I finally found something.. I will be doing tandem end dump for a bit till the summer starts. I will also be driving a tractor with a low bottom.. ( I don't know what its really called) But it has a band and its easier than regular end dumps. This is in Ft. Lupton with Eagle Trucking (Small company).

Thanks to all for your help. I will see how this works out for now.

One or two nights out; then home. Slip-seat.

Matheson Postal Transport; they are looking for drivers.

    Good Luck, all.

Im considering a move from Baltimore to Denver for a particular local fuel tanker job but it seems like I'll have to do alot of the legwork before I have any reasonable promise of the job.. Im thinking if I do gamble on the job it would be in my best interest to have a couple others lined up incase I dont get that one, I'd prefer somewhere I could put my tanker/hazmat to good use and if I want something local (not gonna go to the trouble of getting an apartment and moving my car out there so i can see them once a week). Is there alot of local driving work in Denver? Any particlar local tanker outfits that are worth looking into? I'm currently driving a flatbed OTR been with my company 2 years but with a 6 month gap from early may to early november last year
