Assuming your asking because you have the same truck start at 8 gallons if you change the filter. Then let it run and then check it again after sitting off for a hour or two.
Google says it takes 10 or 12 gallons, I can't remember. I was always being charged for 12 gallons so I started telling the shops to just put in ten gallons. Then I always had to much oil.
Then I told one shop to put in nine gallons. And it was just right. When I check it about a week later i was a little over but not by much.
When I ask the next shop to just put in 8 gallons I had to add about a half gallon. S9 on that front I have no frikin idea.
Now assuming your asking just to find out. I screwed up, I wasn't paying attention and over filled it. But I can tell you this with exact numbers- I did not change the filter. And let it drain for 2 hours. And only drained 7 gallons. I hope this helps.

If I were changing the oil on a big truck, I'd get a Fumoto valve, a big funnel, and a few empty 5 gallon buckets with press plugs in the lids and pour it off directly into those and dump those out at the recycle joint. Filter, get a center punch and knock a hole in the bottom and also drain into bucket. Have to be a little patient but can be done with very little mess to clean up. The kiddie pool full of oil...OMG bro, might as well just jump in a take a bath with how messy that will be to clean up.

    Opendeckin Thanks this.

How do you get home when the dealer is a 2 hour drive from your house?
