I just received a confirmation for an orientation start date with CR England for March 15, 2010. I have been voluntarily out of truck and out of work for almost 3 years so the pickins have been slim. He told me after 10 days with a trainer I would be getting a truck. I am interested in regional dedicated lanes out of the Southern California Area. He told me I would be requesting them when I get to Mira Loma. I hear all about the team or leasing options on this site. I dont want to have to train a rookie nor do I want to lease a truck. Has anyone ever heard of someone off the street getting a dedicated deal from the get go. Could my recruiter be telling the truth to me. I am going regardless to make sure there are no issues keeping me from being hired.

You cant get dedicated from the get go. Company requires all drivers to go 90 days of regular driving before you can get ANY dedicated, this sof course is after you have gone through any training that you may require..

Do they pay for orientation? I have been told that all company drivers are teams is that true also? I knew this is too good to be true. I talked to Swift Friday they told me I can go intermodal and be home weekends if I got a TWIC card. I applied today. I think this may be true.
