Yellow Freight closure thread

Just hate to see anyone lose their job. Really tears me up.

 

The merger with Roadway, at the time seemed logical. But the buyout of USF Companies(some believe it was a leveraged or hostile takeover), was illogical. That and the implementation of ObamaCare which the unions fully supported, while being granted a ‘waiver’ for a couple years, all the while the non union carriers were denied waivers. The union companies had planned on the nons screaming ‘uncle uncle uncle’ after a year or two of ObamaCare regulations and fee’s, they’d crawl to the union company’s begging for them to buy them. But the nons found a work-around, and are stronger than ever.

I'am not looking to start a Argument trust me nor turn this political ..I hate to see people lose a job too
But correct me if Iam wrong .. but thats 1 of the big selling points to a Union job is
We' re here to protect you & your job ? .. .
And if anybody thinks that politics don't come into play with any Union is pretty naive

By the way I hate politics. Just like when people talk about religion. Pisses me off, keep your opinion to yourself. Should go to bed, don't want to piss anybody off.

 

I fully understand your passion .. and this is a gray area thread in my.opinion to try to discuss and not drag politics in .. But I agree leave political views out ..

 

Some day I will pm you on my views of unions, not good. Love my job, but the politics of the union I hate.

 

My passion is for all the workers that lost their job, union and non. Feel for them all. How many families are wondering what is next. F ing yellow, always hated the corp. Scourge of the industry. Thank everyone for putting up for my rants, going to bed soon then I will go back to a couple posts a week. RIP yellow and all the other carriers that went out of business. Sorry if I pissed anyone off. Did not mean to.

 

I can fully u derstand that having some friends in the same sistuation.
What I don't agree with is someone trashing a driver because he has a union job .. I mean really he or she is only playing by the rules that the union has dictated and their hands are tied or they stand to lose their job if they don't abide by the rules.. they are not personally responsible
