Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

I seen a few pop up Friday but was already booked out this week. Have not looked around since,

 

Had two yellow drivers apply. Already had hired one a month ago. It’s definitely different then in the past where all of the existing companies sucked up all of the drivers immediately. Celadon comes to mind.

 

i still see the rogue celadon trailer out in the wild every once in a while.

 

Me too.Carriers are at fault here. They are the ones killing the business hauling for so cheap. If they would at least stick to standard that we can get a decent rate, we all would be in a happy place. But because they are dragging it to the ground, it's a long haul.

And for ones saying us don't make a good business plan that we cry out, that's not totally true.
Shippers negotiate contracts since they know how much drivers are getting paid all over the board. The shipper cut our rate recently blaming it on the market again.
It's like DOMINOS.

 

When I have someone like that I never take another load.

 

That's so sad. We were at Seattle airport.
To my surprise when checking in to American Airlines, a ticket agent asked for passports! I told her we don't need any on a domestic flight. She took our IDs to the backroom Now, it explains to me why she did that. Maybe she thought we are running from Russia or Ukraine. I found it so strange. She was gone like for 15 min with our identifications. And acting so stupid around us.
Nothing really did happen. I can definitely tell you we were profiled that day and our backgrounds were looked at. (My father came from Poland in the 80s.)

 

As an immigrant nobody gave us anything. Worked all the way from the bottom. They are doing it to Poland too by the way. Polish people can't get anything. But Ukrainians have it ALL for free: housing, health care, money for the kids while Polish families don't. Many Polish people don't want to host them in Poland. Not even that. Polish government punishes people for saying much against what's going on. You are not free anymore. And Ukrainian flags decorate Poland everywhere even in government buildings. They get retirement money from the Polish government for not even working one day in Poland.
The health system in Poland sucks. (But doctors are really good!) People wait months for an appointment. But Ukrainians have no lines and are seen right away...
People grow bitter. I understand people need help. But people who are hosting shouldn't be used like that...
Ukrainian men are found at the bars in Poland instead of fighting their war.
(Edit: To be fair. There are Ukrainians who took jobs in Poland. But there are many(if not all) who are using this system. And why wouldn't you if it's FREE and handed to you?)

 

And to tell you how we got here legally. We all had to pass doctors' exams. The doctor actually didn't want to let me pass because my chart showed a dislocated shoulder when I was five years old. Can you believe it? How many kids break bones? We all heal. They were letting few people in to the United States but had to be blemishes free in the 80s and early 90s. Not a penny once on the American soil. Now, they don't even verify documents once they make it here.
