Is Tyson in trouble?

They shut down the Van Buren, AR plant last year. SOP to consolidate produ tion when possible. I think Tyson will be fine

 

I've been to the Noel, Mo plant and it was a small plant. Moving production to another plant would probably make sense. Old and outdated.

 

In some places -- Tyson has indeed "chickened out".

I heard it was because the chickens tried to unionize...

 

Within the past couple years, I can remember chicken wings being crazy expensive...I just saw them today at the grocery for 99 cents a pound.

I worked at the Corydon,IN plant for a few years . There will be around 400 people out of a job there.

 

That depends on what part of the chicken. We are mostly dark meat people in my household. White meat gets way too pricey.
