I just purchased a 2015 pro star n13scr international. I’ve heard all the stories about the maxxF13 and also international. Money wasn’t all that great. I’m an owner operator with my own business. This is my first truck I ever bought. It was at a decent price. I’ve spoken with a few techs from international they gave me insight on the engine. What I want to know is
1.the n13 is it the maxxF13?
2. what can I do to prevent from all the breakdowns that the international has?
3. Would this investment cause me to go out of business. Just reading the articles it has kinda nervous. I don’t know why I didn’t do my research before buying but didn’t have to much money to really play with.
4. Would it be hard finding parts and techs to work on the N13
5.what could I do to upgrade the engine to perform way better than ever?
I really need real advices man, I left the streets to change my life I know this wasn’t the greatest investment I’ve never had a pops to show me the ropes im just learning as I go. No asking for a dad just asking for real advices on this.
Please thanks fellas

Don't hold me to it but I believe the earlier Maxxforce used sky high EGR rates to control the NOx and that's what caused a lot of the issues - engine was being choked out with its own exhaust all day.

A friend of mine runs one for an outfit that has 4, all same age as yours. They’ve been running trouble free for years, he said they aren’t real great until they’re deleted, after that, they love ‘em. Might have to find you a shop that will do “transmission repairs”, or a “fuel system update with inventory parts”,if you get what I mean? Good luck!
