Some switchbacks on that road where you can check your tail lights.
The thing that concerns me most is the places where the road has cracks and had dropped and leans towards the shear cliff drop off. Other wise, lets hammer!

Yes, of course I realize this. But my truck's suspension doesn't.

I drove over the “Million Dollar Highway” in a car once during a late spring snowstorm. About a mile south of Ouray I came around a corner to find two log trucks spinning their drives (with chains!) and not moving. I passed them and didn’t see another vehicle all the way to Silverton. I did most of it between 15-25 mph. It was amazing. And terrifying! I can honestly say that I’ve never been more profoundly present in the moment than I was that whole stretch.

I'm telling you, one little mistake on that highway and it's "bye, bye birdie".

No..no...with an empty truck, going from Parachute, CO to Farmingon, NM via US 550, is the most terrified I've been in a big truck in my life. Going south, I hugged the centerline of the two lane road, because there was no railing on that sheer cliff, and the road is already cupped...leaning your truck and trailer to that side already. I'll never go that way again. :(

Sorry, my bad, I just changed it, Parachute, CO.....don't know why I was thinking Paradise,...considering it was my first time on 70 going in, and that terrifying ride on US 550 on the way out. :) I had delivered some gas piping to a plant there.

You took 550 all the way down to Farmington?

That sounds pretty interesting. I’d be interested in something like that.
