Here's what I was thinkin after thinkin a while.. Guy's got a DOT scale coming up ahead, and he's thinkin or knows he's a bit heavy on the back. So he pulls off to the shoulder and leaning to the right more than one should be comfortable with moving a machine like that, he did it anyway. And we all know which way gravity pulls? The more he moved it the more it inched over to the right side and he tried to hard to get it back. All while the trailer was bouncing a bit. Thats all I can think of......

He’s going to play hell getting those back two chains loose. May as well set the trailer down and try to get the neck off.
-
-
He was too focused of making the left turn. Couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

One has to wonder if that driver has worked for one of the "backup and your fired" companies. Because it had been way too easy to just pull forward a few feet and then back up once the train cleared to make his turn.CAXPT, Nostalgic, Gearjammin' Penguin and 4 others Thank this.

The 4 wheelers are showing more sense than the driver. "Uh-oh, better move." "Oh, crap, gotta back up..." "I'm outta here !"
-
Could be, but I choose to believe he was so focused on turn that he was unaware of train problem. Windows up with full A/C (can't blame him for that) but load radio or on the phone with someone about the delivery? We probably will never know. Target fixation is a bad thing though.

To be fair, it looked kind of like he cut it too short making the turn trying to get in, and didn't think he could clear the front truck until after it had backed up, and then he started moving, but not fast enough.
cke Thanks this. -
Anyone got any news on the Flatbed that lost a full load of plywood on I-40? Was around the split in Arkansas. May have been Tennessee, some where in the vicinity of West Memphis.
