you cant just make a closed end statement like that and expect someone to accept it as the truth. i appreciate your opinion but without anything backing it up it dosent mean much. my opinion is that while they are not good for long term employment, the experience i feel is more valuable.

I agree. I got my start at Maverick (very similar to TMC) and while I agree it was not a long term solution for me it is for many just as it is for many at TMC. That said, I think both offer excellent flatbed training and are great starter companies for flatbed. Seems like you have the right attitude and that is more than half the battle. Best wishes to you in your journey!

i got approved today for an early release from my trainers truck. friday i head back to the Brownsburg or des Moines terminal. it just depends on where we are at the time.
on a side note i love working with well oiled construction crews. we pulled on site at 730 for a 815 unload time, we were pulling back out at 815. they definitely appreciate that time is money.

4 out of 5 of my loads take under 1 hour. Once you do this awhile you can tell by the commodity how long it will probably take.

How did you feel about that unprecedented health questionnaire right in their online employment application? They got some stones, I give em that. But im still waiting for the opportunity to squeeze them til they pop and diamonds fall out.

I could be wrong but I would think if they send you home for anything other than failing a drug test they should at least pay your way back. Not sure if its industry standard to pay way home or not but JB Hunt did for me back in I think it was 09, when they decided I couldn't go back to work for them after I had done gotten to orientation.

As far as securement, it isn't difficult at all to learn. Just remember need at least 50% of the loads weight, how many straps or chains you need and when to criss-cross them and so forth. Coils probably be your biggest issue being green, but you'll get the hang of it.
