They're not picking on you.
Or south FL.
It's a distance thing; it's a geography thing...& also, (for the moment) a freight volume thing.

Do they have to send you back home or something? Cant I just keep running wherever they want me to go?
-
The South Carolina vs FL question...I will defer to someone else, to later answer.
I might "steer" you wrong.

Others will clarify that.

Lol I appreciate that. Of course I find a career that I am comfortable with doing the rest of my life, and I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time.. when I technically really don't even have a home and I don't care what place I'm at. I'm in a #### pickle lol. Don't give up that easy though. Even if I had to join Swift as a South Floridian driver and prove that a Swift driver can actually do something right. Plus I've never owned a pair of flip flops in my life.
( no offense swift )Sons Hero Thanks this. -
At present -- I would not recommend Swift, or Schneider.

I'm getting tired my grammar is starting to get really messed up. Sorry about that talk to you all tomorrow good night.
tscottme Thanks this. -
My state doesn't accept as valud for CDL an address from a Ups store, etc. You need a physical address & proof of a utility bill in your name at the location. Most states are compliant with REAL ID for their drivers licenses & that means you need certain supporting documents fir your physical address.
FL is not a great state for trucking mostly because it produces little freight compared to other states. Companies will anticipate you will want to get "home" semi-regularly & freight coming out of FL is scarce & cheap.
Some companies hire in FL, just not as many as other states. Make sure the CDL school is accredited & provides 160 hours of instruction.
When I went bust after college & lived in FL I had to decide whether to get my CDL near Ft Lauderdale or family home in TN. I moved to TN, started school and was working as a truck driver 4 weeks later. I slept on a family member's couch for free. -
