Cobra Electronics 7700 PRO GPS

it will let you no were you r at go 2 find find on map quick menu and then push continue

 

I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 6600. I have about 90 poi's programmed in my gps, and would like to know how to program these into the cobra 7700 pro. Is there an easy way to do this without individual addresses like the Garmin or do I have to do them the hard way?

 

registered my 7700 with aura had update page bookmarked for the free 90 days of updates then my computer crashed lost everything-- have tried re registering to get update page back it won't let me do that how do i get to the update page unit was bought feb 14 2010

 

my husband has bought a cobra gps 7700 2 months ago,as for him an owner operator truck Driver this unit is a must in going all over North America.He was so satisfied with the unit till yesterday when he tried to update the software by using the dvd sent to him by You.After more than 40 minutes he realized that the download was frozen and when he looked at the unit screen the messagewas displayed :no system file .this message is still on the screen(IT LOOKS THAT SOMEHOW ALL THE DATA WAS LOST IN THE DOWLOADING PROCESS) even though he followed all the steps from the instructions wich were sent with the dvd.Ever since the computer seems that is incapable of recognizingthe unit as a removable device even though the screens display the: usb connected message when connected to the computer.The operating system on the computer is Windows 7.Now he called the Customer Sevice in Chicago and was told that the updating disc could be the culprit,and it will be sent to him an Sd card for updating.Now my question is if You think that this it will work as the message :No system file is still displayed on unit screen.He is so devastated over this incident as he had to leave this morning to work after a sleepless night ,without the unit to wich he became so acustomed to.What are his other options if somehow the sd card option fails also,as he paid 500usd for this unit and he can not afford to buy another one

 

just got the dvd in the mail it installed in about 20 minutes on a win xp system ( vista as to many bugs win 7 is to new ) no problems with update now shows new roads north end of Toronto area that were not on original software If you are thinking of buying one i got mine at 5th Wheel truckstop in bowmanville ont $499 +tax cnd
Just one question does the red light camera feature work in canada if so how do i enable it I have passed a few red light cameras in Brampton ont with no warnings given ( yes these are well known camera locations )

try install on a win xp system hope it will solve your problem

 

also it is impossible to download the initial updater(nowhere to be found) even If he registered again the ,unit the updater page did not appear anymore
