I have an issue with a tradle valve on a 1994 kenworth. I changed it cuz I thought old one was broken. But after putting new one on it does same thing. Truck gets no brakes. Doesn’t release the air. Gauge stays up on air apply psi and the spring under brake pedal is stiff.

Sounds more like a relay valve out back may be sticking. The treadle valve does not actually send the air to the chambers, it sends air to the top port of the relay valve. Just a small volume of air to shuttle the relay valve and allow air directly from the tanks to fill the chambers. Its done this way to reduce lag time.
I would start with checking the service relay valve and go from there.singlescrewshaker and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Did you take the piston out under the pedal and clean all that up?

Well it’s a new one now. Like which piston outta the air valve? There wasn’t one under the pedal just like a roller to sit in top of that spring/piston

Possibly the reference line to the brake relay,
Could be blocked or kinked.
Dont just throw the parts cannon at it. usually its fixable with something minimal
