What all is involved as far as giving one of these services the ability to book loads on your behalf? What’s to stop them from using your MC to book loads and then double broker them through a fake brokerage they have set up?

cke, singlescrewshaker and PSM379 Thank this.

little of both, more so using a dispatch service over seas, whether it’s in Ukraine, Italy, Canada etc. they shouldn’t be able to access the load boards to begin with. I needed a MC number to get my truck stop account, how are they legally doing this. Like I mentioned on top of US based dispatchers, husband and wife teams, now self dispatched guys compete with overseas dispatch companies that most likely have people hawking the boards 24/7. As I mentioned I’m not dispatching trucks in Ukraine or any other country, nor do I want. I want to know why they are allowed to do this, it shouldn’t be going on plain and simple.

I agree the market in American is too open to world wide competition.
I wouldn't mind if it were a Ukrainian team here in the US but we in so many different ways have allowed "free market capitalism" to run wild for too long.
In the rise of dispatch services, overseas companies buying up single family homes in droves, etc.
If it works for you, then I'm glad you're making money but it sucks that a new usdot here can't really break into the market without giving up a percentage for dispatching.
All of this foreign competition has now come to the individual American and that's very sad that our borders don't provide any protection

Asked yesterday, no reply from anyone so I’ll ask again.

What all is needed for them to have permission to book loads on your behalf using your MC? They need an MC to view the load boards so do they just stay logged in with one MC while looking for and booking loads for other carriers? What protection do carriers have from getting tied up in a double broker scheme?

singlescrewshaker, Soltaker and cke Thank this.

Must be super top secret how these services gain access to load boards without their own authority.

Yeah I imagine they must use your MC to book. I'm sure they're double brokering runs. I would bet they're booking loads without a truck to dispatch then finding a truck.

That’s what I’m picturing. If they’re dispatching 20 guys there’s no way that they have 20 tabs open for every load board using each MC to book loads. Carriers are probably involved in double brokering and won’t know it until things go south.

I’m curious what the contract looks like with one of these foreign dispatch services.

    singlescrewshaker and cke Thank this.

Not only what the contract but what recourse the contract can hold for them or the MC. It seems a two way street of not being able to hold either party accountable should things turn south
For our friend with the Ukrainian dispatch team, what recourse does the dispatcher have should the MC not pay? They can double broker loads and attempt to tank the MC.
What about the MC? They really have no recourse or way to "attack/take revenge" on a sour deal.
I'd rather deal with someone with an American presence even though that doesn't mean anything anymore

singlescrewshaker and Long FLD Thank this.

It's no different than a Company that has 20 drivers and 5 dispatchers state side hounding the boards even booking 7days in advance.
    No bearing on location.
