Unfortunately I'm in Arkansas. I've contacted schools colse to where I live in Texas. Unfortunately, I can't bring there trucks across state line for testing and my cdl permit is for Arkansas. The skills test are different.

I'm pretty sure it's not illegal but it is extremely difficult here in Arkansas to find one to rent for the purposes of testing. If you yourself or you know of someone in Arkansas that rents trucks for that purpose, I'd be interested.

Todd727 Thanks this. -
I checked the locations for CDL testing in AR and they are just too far away for me.
Your best bet would be to find a 3rd party examiner and see if they have any contacts for trucks. That's what happens with me. The 3rd party guy calls me to see if I can help people like you out. Of course, that's here in MS. Not sure what the 3rd party examiner situation is in AR. -
I googled them. Only review I could find newer than 3-4 years ago (which were mostly 4 or 5 stars back then) was from 4 weeks ago. 1 star.
Seems like post pandemic they got some new instructors (a guess on my part). ZERO passes in 3 tries for the entire class? Something aint right. -

The school I worked at years ago gave 4. VERY few needed more than 2. The 2 people we had that took it 4 times both failed them. Some people dont belong in a truck.
