Lol tell me about. Looking back the first 579 I tried to buy in April was the best deal but I bet on the market would come down and while it has not as much as I thought it would.

I will keep everyone posted on fuel mileage. My 389 so far this year has averaged 5.3 MPG and has spent $52K in fuel. If I had averaged 6.5 MPG, which I think is reasonable for the 579, I would have saved $11.5K. That's straight cash and a nice tailwind to the P&L.

still trying to decide if I’m done, or do I fix my truck up. I do like it…..

The biggest concern is how long the W9 is going to be available

I wish we could order a medium duty truck, both Peterbilt and Kenworth says they can't order any class 6 or 7 chassis until 2nd quarter next year. We have been holding off getting new trucks due to slim availability, but we have 4 trucks now over 500k miles so we have to do something soon. Our salesman said slots were opening up, so we were ready to order 2 new Peterbilts, but then he came back and said 2nd quarter was the best he could do.

The dealer found 2 slightly used trucks in Florida that we are in the process of purchasing, 2022's with less than 50k miles, but we prefer to spec the trucks and have Morgan build custom boxes with rail lift gates. We are also still waiting on a Freightliner box truck we ordered thru Penske almost 2 years ago. They originally told us 4th quarter of last year, then they pushed it back to Spring this year. Then they said July and now the latest is middle of September, supposedly the box is what's holding it up.

well, I suppose that depends on what you want to do with it and for how long.
What you have now is fairly versatile.
